Since the founding of St. Andrew permanently in 2000, a Parish Profile has never been created to date. This small work aims to provide basic information about the Parish and is not intended to be a lengthy essay. The purpose of creating this Parish Profile is to provide basic information about Parishes established in the vast mountainous region of the Western Province, so that new arrivals, especially Priests and Religious, can gain sufficient overview and insight to carry out their mission effectively.

Our Community Engagement Initiatives

Growth and Role in the Community

In the mid-1970s to 1980s, the mission expanded by establishing local Christian communities, first in the South, Southeast, and East. These villages include Buratembip/Dumnak, Marontikin, Kayangabip, Swetikin, Aborgubip, Baktamin/Seltamin, and Selbang.

Holy Spirit Cathedral Churchr

Missionary activities focused on building an airstrip, establishing schools and health posts, as well as administering sacraments at Gatik Station. People from surrounding villages came to help build Main Station and received the sacrament.
